    Is 150W enough for a BTA in a 45?

    T5HO 2 - 10K 39W, 2 - Act 39W

    18" deep, 36" long

If I kept it high, would it be enough?

I would say no. The problem is, is that there is no guarantee you can keep it high. You can put it wherever you want, but it will move to wherever it wants ;)

    Hi JonJon

Dissapointing I know, but Pack leaders point about it moving, is so important it was worth making twice
these and other Nem species think nothing of clambering over your carefully aquascaped reef tank, stinging everything in the way, and if they cant find a location to their liking they tend to demise rather quickly

Hmm, I figured as much. Unfortunately I made a newbie mistake. Have had it for 6 months now. It stays about 4 to 6 inches deep, but has been declining for the last month. Still accepts food, but hasn't bubbled up in a while.

So, looks like new lights, or I need to get rid of him. Such a shame. My clown loves him to death.

If you can't afford the upgrade, the best thing for the bta is to give it to somebody that can give it what it needs, your not the first to make a newbie mistake, we all did at some point, its how we get better at this hobby...

Good luck what ever you decide...
