BTA's choice of postion

I understand that nems find a place of their individual needs and preferences, but this one seems a bit odd to me.

The BTA moved here after an hour or so in the tank and promptly attached to bottom side of a rock and 3/4 of it is shaded. Also it appears the flow in the area is stronger than I would have thought would be ideal as it seems to blown strongly to on side. Is this normal?
From all my reading on these nems the spot it chose goes againest most of the requirements everyone says they need. buts he been there for 3 days with no signs of leaveing

 

I think they usually prefer their foot to be shaded. give it a little time, it will probably stretch around to get the light it needs. It may also move again if it decides that spot is not optimal for it.
