bubble algea

    is it bubbly and stringy? dinoflagellates if it is... im guess but need pics to be sure.

    That's what i have, but i got a phos reactor, 3 little fishies 150 and i only use RO/DI water now. hoping this will clear it up with time.

    i had some...nothing helps them.... to my knowledge... cutting light, phos reactors etc, ro/di etc. I believe they make their exoskeleton out of silicates. if your tank is new once those are used up i think it should go away. i could be wrong.

    how old is your tank? Mine went away with time. nothing eats it either (to my knowlege) i believe it is toxic if eaten...

    its probubly bubble algae which means u need to get emerald crabs or you can use a needle(like the ones that doctors give you shots with) stick it in the bubble algae and suck out the stuff inside. NEVER EVER EVER EVER pop the algae it will only spread it

    A picture would really help.........Have you done any research to confirm/deny dinoflagellates? Could be a few different things. Is it cyanobacteria?
