bubble coral dying?

    Yes its on the bottom. It always has been on the bottom. Its so big and top heavy that it inflated while in the rock work it would likely tumble down and possible cut its bubbles on the way to the sand bed.

    Did you disturb the sand bed?

    Can you put the coral in a tank at the LFS or a friends and see if it gets better?

    Is it possible that the coral received a tear in the tissue during the face lift? If possible it may just remain closed while it heals.

    I added a new layer of sand to the tank. The coral sat in the sump under lights for three days while the DT cleared up. It was open the whole time in the sump. When I moved it to the DT it closed. I could attempt to take it to work and stick it in the reef system there and see what happens. I'm not sure if we have room right now though. Just got in a huge, 15 pg ORA coral order
