Bubble coral letting out red stuff!

    i just got my bubble coral tonight, and its opening and closing and letting out a bunch of stringy red stuff!

    Whats going on!?

    EDIT: forgot to mention, when i brought it home, i noticed in the bag there was this a lot of white muckis *sp* stuff floating around

    ohhhh ok, thats a relief, i thought it was like a parasite or something by how it looked. i'm a bit relieved now that it's normal.

    lol i cant believe it's already doing this and only been in the tank for 3 1/2 hours with lights off, guess its happy. It's cool how it open and closes, it was pretty loud

    i shall have to look this up to see what it means :D

    It can, either, be bad, or, nothing at all.

    Zooanthellae are the symbiotic algae in the coral's flesh.

    im hoping its nothing, wikipediea said they can die if they start loosing the zooxanthellae so im hoping its nothing, i dont want to loose it, it seems to be doing ok, its getting a lot of flow to it, and the bubbles are constantly moving in the flow, looks really cool
