Bubble line

    Ive always wondered but I just never did ask..concerning the bubble level in the throat of a skimmer.What would be the best place to try and get the bubbles to line up with.EXACTLY on the edge of the throat before it spills into the cup.ABOVE the line (obviously not with water flowing into the cup but with foam above the lip of the throat) or BELOW the line and inch or two.I use a Vertec IN line of skimmer.

    I've found that with most skimmers keeping the line where fine bubbles turn to bigger bubbles right at the transition to the riser tube works well. The restriction there usually drives the foam and creates a nice dry head.
