I have the NAC6 skimmer and have been running it for about a month now without any issue, this morning i look under the tank and realize the skimmer is empty and the pump is not working. I pulled it out and looked at it and everything seems to look okay. I was going to take it apart, but thought id post first and see if anyone has had this experience, or can offer any advice. I dont know what happened exactly, i havent had any power shortages or anything that would cause the pump to burn out. I did let the water level get a bit too low as i was trying to get water for a change, but it was never run out of the water. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

are you using a GFCI outlet/breaker? in other words... does the outlet still work?

its a new house, so the outlets are up to date. When i pulled it out, i filled up the kitchen sink and tried using a different outlet and i got nothing

okay. well my concern wasnt the age of the outlet, but whether the GFCI had been tripped. we moved in to our new house we built about 10 months ago and i trip GFCIs all the time. what i would do is take off the face plate from the pump and then put it in a vinegar bath then shake it in some freshwater to see if something is jammed before you have to disassemble it

I took the skimmer apart and was tinkering with the pump. I figured out that my mesh wheel was cracked and it was jammed. I plugged it in and the broken piece popped out. I attached a pic of what the piece looks like. My question is now; should i continue to run the pump like this, or should i try to replace the piece with a new one, which i have. I looked at the pump and i cant really figure out how to take it apart to even get to the wheel (its the atman2500). Has anyone replaced their mesh wheel on this pump, if so, can you explain how you did it?
    Thanks!

Interesting. My Bubble Magus came with an extra mesh wheel. Did yours?

Can you super glue that one back together?

Odd. When you pull out the impeller, how does it look down in the pump shaft?

Is this for a NAC6? That is what I have.
