I have a blue chromis that has what looks like an air bubble just over his eye. his eye looks a little out of sorts. It looks a little bit swollen. He swims and eats normal. Any thoughts on what this is? Pictures would be hard as he is always moving.

I was thinking popeye too. Is it the actual eye that is swollen or not?
Popeye is when the eye becomes infected and swells and bulges out. If prolonged and not treated, the fish can lose sight in the eye. There are two general ways to get it. One is through a bacterial infection, this most likely is the cause when both eyes are affected. If only one eye is affected, the eye was probably irritated or hurt in some physical way. My yellow tail had popeye in one eye, I treated him by adding melafix to the food. He recovered in a few days.

no it is just above eye ball which make the area around eye look swollen. If it is popeye is it contagious.

If both eyes are infected, there is a much better chance to spread it, if only one eye it's not contagious. (this is because of the way it comes about)

    Had to do it!!

As far as the eye, could just be a small infection or something - just keep an "eye" on it and if it seems to get worse, quarantine the fish and try to identify. If it is popeye, the entire eye becomes bloated and cloudy and it could go away rapidly or spread to other fish so better to quarantine as well.
