    You are probably going through another(mini) cycle. Keep an eye on ammonia and nitrite.

    Just 150w hqi? or do you have some lighting for the tank as well? vho, t5, pc ? You might wanna think of what you wanna put in the tank. I have a 46g tank and i'm upgrading to a 250w hqi

    so is it just 1 150 over a 48gallon?

    you would need more than one 150 MH over a 48, heck i have a 150W over my 10 gallon!
