I have 70 gallon saltwater tank, with 108 watts of lighting is that good for a bubble tip anemone?
Or should i have 216 watts which is 3.6 watt per gallon?
Plus do i need a protein skimmer to keep a bubble tip anemone?
    Thanks for your time.:cheesy:

    welcome to 3 reef ypkc

    I would say 4 x T5 tubes would be better than 2 x T5 tubes

    protien skimmer
if the bubble tip was in a very lightly stocked tank then maybe not required
but the more inhabitants you keep in there, the more important a protien skimmer becomed IMHO

no, that usually isnt enough light for any anemone- min. I would go with would be quad t5's and a 150 MH- and that is the low end of the requirement.

most anemone's live close to the water surface and hence they recieve a lot of light, there fore they require intense lighting to flourish.

how old is your tank set up?

to me it sounds like your new to this hobby or have a new tank. i would highlt not recomend a BTA right now because of your lights witch are on the very low end and how old your tank is( that depends we neeed to no that) also the watts per gallon rule is very outdated. their is one guy on here that has 2.2 watts per gallon but its a full blown sps tank, he has leds.

get rid of the anemone right away, i can telll you have not done your research. they need at least power compact lights, sounds like you just have flourescant, and those arent good for growing anything besides algae if that. also your tank needs to be at least a year old and a protein skimmer is a requirement for an anemone, i have two carpet anemones and a ritteri, and they practically own the tank, i form my tanks around them, i dont buy anything thats bad for them or that theyll eat.

My Tank is a little over a year old.
I'm going to buy another T5 light so it will give me 4 T5 bulbs and 3.6 watts per gallon.
    will it live like that?

i would get a sump, thats the best way. canisters or power filters are meant for freshwater. also what t5's do you have? and tanks specs of everything.
