I bought a bubble tip anemone today. I put it at about half way down the aquarium which is a 125. He ended up climbing the rocks and went to the top and is now hanging on the side of the aquarium. Is this normal? Should this tell me anything? I currently have 384watts of light which is a little over 3w per gallon.

384watts on a 125 isn't alot of light.. Also depends on the type of lights, bulbs, etc..
The tank it came out of... How much and what kind of lights was it under..??
Where was it at in that tank..?
How long did they have it..?? Sounds like it's looking for more light..
But there's people here that can tell you better then I ..
How old is your tank.. ??

    Good Luck, Larry

The tank is around 6 months old. I have it under MH's. I got it from the LFS. Theyve had it for a few months.
I ended up moving him to a different place in the tank and he hasent moved yet so I'm gonna keep observing him and see what happens.

Ya, I know how to feed it. It just doesnt seem to content where its at. I placed in a different spot and left for about in an hour and came back and it was like half way under a rock. Maybe its trying to get away from the water flow. The LFS had it in a place with not much flow. We'll see. I'll keep a watch on it and keep posting for input.

There's not much you can do if it wants to move. You could try altering the flow or light but there's no guarantee where its going to want to settle down, that's the problem with anemones, never know when they're going to pick up and move around stinging everything in their path.

Ya, I guess so. I was gone for about 2 hours and came back and found him at the top of a cave with about 1/3 of himself sticking out. Seems instead of trying to get closer to the light, well I have no idea what he could be doing instead.

For the record - anemone = invert, not coral. Thats the first step to understanding why your anemone is not staying in a nice "coral like behavior" place.
