    Hi guys,

i have a green bubble tip - i've had him for a couple of months - i placed him below the light at the bottom of the tank (lights 300w mh) and he moved out of te light - i rearranged my tank and again put him in storng light - and he has again moved to somewhere with little to no light, i thought they're meant to love light - he seems better out of the light than in it?. any thoughta.

    thanks#

sometimes they like to hide, especially before and during splitting. I have a rose bubble tip that hasn't been out yet. Don't move it, let it find it's place...

cool - i was thinking it may be used to a deeper darker climate - its the brightst green bubble tip i've ever seen - apparently more colour = deeper dweller, fingers crossed hope i get 2 :D

Although anemones generally light intense lighting, too strong of lighting will burn them and cause them to bleach. Of course there is the saying "too much of a good thing can be bad." This also applies to lighting our tanks. ;) Let him be, he will stay where he is most comfortable. Just make sure you give him enough meaty foods too.

my BTA climbed down under an outcrop and went from brown with green tips to what looks like a sebae without the purple tips, its been like this for a year now, still eats a fish once a week, I thought it would die but for a year now with its maroon clown tenant no probs, just leave it alone it will find a spot it likes.

Mine was like that too, it lost a ton of color. Mine was too close to the light and bleached out. It moved down the tank a bit and recovered well with daily small feedings. What type of lighting do you have?
