Bubble tip coral

    ok so heres the deal... as i have learnd i have a bubbletip.. no biggie.ummm question is it appears to have 2 or more mouths to it. dumbass ?.. do i need to try and feed each mouth or does one mouth feed the whole coral piece?

    From what I understand, it sounds like its splitting. You will soon have 2! I would try to feed each mouth, but smaller pieces. It still is one right now.

    as u can see by the pic its one big piece ona rock. when i shut down lights completely it expells what water it has collected that day and well deflates to juts the coral.as seenin the pics above it is one big piece. i have been tryin to domore reading on this coral. Looks like i need to do alot more eh?..

    You don't even really need to feed it, although the occasional feeding will help. They don't split as far as I know, it's not a branching type coral. And I believe it shares nutrients, so don't worry about feeding both mouths if you do you feed it. They like moderate to lower light, but can adjust, and moderate current.

    I have heard of the anenome splitting into 2 seperate animals...but theBT coral, as in this photo looks like it would be more apt to develope more "heads", each with its own "mouth" mainly filter feeders, but do desire abit'o phyto and or mysis or other 600 to 800 micron size food....kinda reminds me of a frog spawn in growth and development characteristics. JMO : )
