Bubble tip ...missing?

Mine disappears everynight. It curls itself up in its little crevice between two branches of rock and I can only see it if I look under the rock and see it hang down. Your tank is a little young for an anemone though. I am not saying it is bad but they are sensitive and your tank is young.

 

yes your tank is a little young but if you keep up with your tank work it should be fine, BTAs are hardy anemones (this does not however mean they should be put through useless stress) im thinking you seem like the eager person who wants to have the BTA as a center peace. though they are beautiful creatures they are NOT plants! you cant expect it to place it somewhere and have it thrive. i have experienced that the one golden rule in keeping an anemone is to let it wonder and settle where it wishes. moving it to place you like (and im not saying you've done this btw, but resist temptation) might not be the best place for it and it it consumes too much energy moving about it could eventually die releasing toxins in all your tank. better to have a hidden anemone than a dead one IMO.

like it has been said they need light to thrive so you will eventually see it as it pops out to absorb some of it.

 

I haven't messed with it and I wont...I appreciate all your help..thanks..just was wondering if this was normal..I'm new to reef but my tank has been set up for years as a regular salt water aquarium just added more live rock and led lights .
