Can someone send me a link of what material I should use and how much I will need for a bubble trap in a 10 gallon tank. (like the exact product from home depot lol)

It is going to be a baffle 1.5" high and then up to the top, and then a baffle touching the bottom and 8-9" high, and then a baffle 1.5" high and touching the top. Depending on how my skimmer fits I will also have a 4th baffle that will also touch the bottom and go 8"-9".

I am very new to the sump building game so can you please talk to me like I have no idea what to do. I am going to purchase silicone right from my fish store to ensure that it is reefsafe. (thats all I know haha ;D)

Just ask an attendant where the plexiglass sheets are. They usually come in a few sizes, but make sure it's 1/4" thick. Get one that matches up close to the dimensions on your 10 gallon to minimize the waste. While you're there, get a plexiglass cutter (small hand tool that looks like a cross between a razor blade knife and a hook) and something to use as a straight edge (if you don't have it).

To cut the plexiglass, make your measurements and set your straight edge on the plexiglass. Slowly pull the cutter along the straight edge to score the plexiglass. Then, slowly go over that line many times until you're about a third to half way through the glass. Then, give it a good "snap" and it will make a nice clean break.

Plexiglass isn't really recommended for sump walls.

You should really do glass dividers.

At a home improvement sore, if you buy a new glass cutter, and two small sheets of glass it'll probably be cheaper than 1 sheet of pexiglass.

To get a really accurate measurement of the inside of the tank, simply do it from one of the sides on the outside of the tank.

    Good luck.
