Not sure how to even start this one. Yesterday I fed my tank in the morning as normal no problems. When I came home on lunch to feed again I saw a couple of bubbles thought nothing. But when I came home from work my live rock and coral was covered with bubble algae as if I sprayed everything with an air stone. How did this happen, and how can I fix it?

I did read that thread but not sure. I think it might dinoflagellates it looked like the bubbles were floating but they were green not brown strings with bubbles but most are on the rock not floating.

I don't know if you posted a pic as my firewall won't allow most of them to come through at work. If you didn't please do!!! :) It may aid in quicker identification.

HAHA...your messing around at work too. lol. Its your proxy, not your firewall.

Post a pic so we can give you a clear ID. Sounds like green bubble algae to me. It spreads very fast but I have not heard of it taking over a tank within a few hours. Strange but possible.

    LOL, thanks Matt :rofl

I hate not being able to view pics :(

Looking through a reef forum without pics is like reading a picture book, blind!
