Hey all! I am really concerned at the moment and unsure what to do. I live in an apartment complex and to save money, management has decided to stop paying Orkin to spray for bugs. In past years, fleas have not been bad, however this year has been ridiculous.

Long story short, my pets have become infested. Even worse, fleas bring tapeworm. I have taken all my pets to the vet yesterday, and were treated for everything.

Last step is killing any remainders left in the apartment. All day and night my girlfriend and I are cleaning, vacuuming, rearranging furniture, washing everything that the pets use.

We are wanting to drop a few bug bombs but have a turtle tub, a 55g planted fw and a 30g biocube w/ 10fuge. Also lots of live plants.

What I have been told is I need to wrap all my clothing, ect.. in plastic bags. I am afraid that just covering my tanks with plastic and tape is not good enough. Its not like I can just move my 3yr reef and over 500lb freshwater tank. PITA

Has anyone been in this predicament? I'll be up all night cleaning and paying attention to this thread. Would appreciate any immediate feedback

I'll post some FTS tomorrow.. tbh i havent scrapped my reeftank in a few months.. I need a Flipper!

Is spraying instead of bombing not an option?
Multiple layers of plastic and tape seem pretty good to me. Just go completely overboard with it. Cover everything with it.

People use glass lids, which prevents pretty much all gas exchanges, so I don't see why it would be a problem to go the 100% and cover with plastic (not sure if it's the same for fw though)

FW is lidliss, I found some alternatives. There is a very good flea carpet powder cleaner I picked up from the store just now. Going to try and just aggressively vacuum the next 2 weeks. Orkin said this is what they would do.

    Thanks guys!
