i like it, are you planning on adding a picture of the store or not, I know the old one had a picture of the store. Also, I just wanted to say that East Coast Aquatics is a really good store!

I think it looks good so far, the one thing that I would change however is the background color. Black, while it creates a nice contrast for pictures it is used infrequently in professional websites for a number of reason, Text color, Image problems (ever see white outlines around pictures on a website), and consumer psychological connotation (for me a all black background reminds me of 1995 when every other page out there was black and no one had any idea of layout, or good taste).

I take it that all the pics on the sides are going to be frames for navigation?

    Cheers!

When I added links to most of our equipment manufacturers, Google Analytics showed the web hits shoot through the roof. It's something you might want to consider.

Depending on time availability, whenever I sent out a sale email, I would often include similar links to helpful info on the individual new corals or fish too.

One thing I would highly recommend would be an automated email list sign-up form like we had. Planet Reef, LLC - St. Louis fish retail and mail-order store with saltwater fish, coral, inverts, dry goods -- and inspiration!

Oh yea the "Freewebs" adverts are really annoying. Especially the gift package that moves with the scroll bar.

    thanks

    thanks everyone for the feedback...

i know what you mean about black background, and the white picture effect, thats why i used a lot of dark pics, but well see how the customer feels...

and also as to the one person who said something about frames? thats the older style of designing (not really my thing, but a lot of people do frame up pages) im using strict xml along with css...incorporating frames IMO is very unnecessary...but yes they will be links

the gift box on the side is also something i put there as a try out, i figured they would want to push the whole gift certificate thing, but i do need to find out how you put the close box on that (x).

    please, more feedback

also, the freewebs logo at the bottom is just the price for free hosting right now..

if the LFS takes the design, i will be transferring it to their server, thus eliminating the annoying freewebs ad

I do web development for a living. I just looked at your source code and you might wanna use original images, not stuff hotlinked from penningtonaquatics.com, funfishtank.com and pacificcoralfarm.com. Those are grounds for lawsuits that would be on the store and yourself. From a professional point of view, the website looks cheap and done by somebody who doesn't know a lot about basic html coding. It looks like you used some type of generic page builder.

Im not trying to be a *****, just giving you a professional opinion.
