    I am putting together a refugium tomorrow and i want to fig out the best combo for it. I have live rock from my wet/dry that I am going to transfer in there and I plan on getting macro/chaeto to grow in there. But what about a dsb? Does it need to be a certain size/depth to be useful? Does granular size matter? Is there anything else I should consider?

    I'm no expert, but from what I understand around 6" deep and the smaller the grain the better
