so i want to go with a 5x2x2 ive got a qoute for this with star fire front and sides normal glass at the bottom and black glass on the back. Should i just go 6 foot ??

Im always wondering should i get to overflows built in one either end so that they cant block up or is one enough and how should i run the returns though the back of the tank ?? any ideas suggestions would be really great thanks 3 reef

Bigger is always better go for 6', as far as returns and overflows theres a million ways to go about it, but I def say have two on a tank that big and since its custom try to think of a way to make them barely visible

well it depends on where your planning to put it. But if its possible to fit a bigger one. Do that, otherwise you'll regret it later. I notice your in melb. Where you buying from ?

If you're thinking about going 6' go with it then....you will always want it if you dont do it and it will bug you forever. JUST DO IT!!!

Also get overflows built in if you can...they are a must have for me in a tank, I would never have a tank without built in overflows.

I would go with the 6' and have them add a coast to coast overflow and drill for a bean animal silent drain system (built in redundancy and silent operation)

The coast to coast has the advantage of skimming the entire length of the tank with no areas to collect debris and not actually skim it away. Also does not take a large chunk out of the tank space like a traditional drilled overflow does.
