    I ve also resealed and did one with a significant gap between two panes. I decided not to completely separate the pieces of glass and injected the gap as best I could with silicone. It turned out fine with no air bubbles. I leak tested it for 2+ weeks. It is now my 220 gallon build project. Good luck and make sure you post what you decided and how it turns out.
