    It comes with 2" feet so I think think should be OK. I was just concerned with overheating. Thanks

    Well I was concerned when I put it up there so I noticed it the first day so it did not melt all the way threw. My tank is 60 inches and the light is only 48 so I could not use the legs that come with it. So I had two small ceramic bowls that are used for dipping sauce lol and I just proped it up maybe 2 or 3 inches off the glass. My tank is 120 gallons. If the light is the same length as your tank I would just use the legs that come with it they should work fine.;D

    Gotcha. I was asking how you fixed the damage you sustained from the melting. Keep a close eye on it and make sure it doesn't deteriorate further over time. If it's bad enough, you could order a new top frame for your tank. They don't cost more than $40 or so. Any LFS can special order them. Without the integrity of that center brace; especially on a 6' 120G tank, if it were to give out one day--well, you know the rest.
