Your other tank looked great, and your new one looks even better. I'm looking forward to seeing it mature! Welcome to 3reef.

Wow long day finally able to get on here :)
and thanks Zgetman you'll get there im sure!

corailline i appreciate the swift nick name hah but about what you said on the linkia you were right the guy at the LFS should have never sold him to me he made it great for 2 days then started to detach his legs. What do you think in your opinion could have caused this the water is 3 years established as well as the rock and sand and has been running for about a month. I always get upset when i loose something in my tank!

oldfishkeeper & rhameolution thanks for the compliments and i will keep you posted!

Alright as for the tank i bought a piece of acrylic tonight on my way home and the cutting tool and started my barrier for my fuge it started off great! then i got a lil tired and my judgement went out the window i can tell this was the cause because at the end i though that my circular saw was the perfect tool. :( it looks like a child sawed those flow gruves in haha. but it fits perfect and seems to do the job nicely next on the pecking order is to either buy locally or off the internet led lights to build my fuge light!

Can we see a full picture of your sump/refugium? I am curious how you set yours up. I will be DIYing mine in the near future.

hey sorry i did not post anything latly and as for the full refugium picture i have not yet dont my refugium light which is still on the long list of things to do.

a little update my very timid anthia died after two weeks of hiding i saw him pop out once :( then right after he went the same day my other very healthy always out anthias went into the rocks and died 3 days later i dont know is she was heartbroken or what but im quite upset i told my LFS all about it and he said he would hook me up with my next 2 fish i told him i only wanted to be hooked up on two anthias. i really like them and i really want them. so i have my own test kit but i took my water in anyways just to show him. my nitrates were a little high so i did a 20% water change just the other day. all other new inhabitants seem to be do very very well. i figure i was do for my monthly water change any how this setup is only about a month old at this point.

anyone have any links to a good led DIY refugium light. im still searching for the one i will go with. also do you think the nitrates is what cause my anthia to be unhappy or do you think it was just the fish? maybe i got a bad one?

sorry for the delay guys i would hope to be further along then what i am right now but i currently work two jobs and spend 3-5 days a week at the gym.

it's really hard to say what may have caused the fish demise. I'm sorry for your loss :( Fish can typically handle nitrates but you didn't mention how high yours were.

Sounds like you are a busy person. I'm sorry I can't help on the LED question. I'm sure others will chime in.

yea def busy haha and as for fish living with nitrates all the other fish didnt seem like they were bothered at all. and as for the level it was in between the second and 3rd color on my test kit i completely forgot what the numbers are on it. im sure someone knows them by heart but i just sat down and im not getting up to read it haha

also picture UPDATE lol changed the scape up quite a bit tonight with my free time. i didn't like the ROCK PILE i had going on there was way to many places for fish to hide this makes it a lil open but provides a refuge for the weary. tell me what you guys think.
