Built own media racks

I have built my own media racks out of egg crate and zip ties. My media racks have three tiers. I am using one in both my biocube 14 and my biocube 29. In the biocube 14 the media rack is, (from bottom to top)< chemipure elite, purigen and then filter floss in the top just at the water level. This is all in my first chamber of the cube.
1. Does this seem like an ok setup? I am just wondering if the media is getting enough flow through the bags and such.
2. Anyone else have a similar setup?
3. Should i keep the filter floss in the top or move it to the overflow from chamber one into chamber two?
