i am getting ready to change light bulbs .they are 2 250w 10k mh hqi's powered by 2 electronic ballast by icecap. they are in pendants backed up by 2 t5 ho. 1 actinic+and 1 pure actinic.they are 54 watts each.so my question was are the 14k's going to affect the lighting dramatically and do i need to change my actinics to 50/50's? for dawn and dusk effect? also if anyone has any tips on acclimation they would be much appreciated:confused:

    Hey, How are ya?
As for your lights, different manufacturers bulbs are different than others as far as kelvin/color! You could get one 10000k bulb that is different from another 10000k bulb from another manufacterer.
That being said, I would still use you actinics with which ever bulb color you chose!
The 14000k bulb will not really effect your tank, other than make it a little bluer in color. It is a nice color though as I have the 14000k halides on my tank!
