bulb choices

    First off thanks to all that make this forum so educational realy has helped me get my foot in the door with saltwater ..

    i am in the prosess of puting together a canapy with a retro kit 4 vho bulb kit with moon lights 46.5 inch 10 5 mm blue led's @ 20 ma . 2 4" muffin fans icecapp 660 . for my 90 gallon tank its maily fish only with live rock but i have some coral frags but i want to put an anemony in if for a couple clowns im torn with going all 4 50-50 bulbs or just the usuall 2 10 k and to super actinic

    Hmmm... I thought 50/50 was the usual. ;)

    Standard 50/50 bulbs are 6500K/460nm, so you'd definitely get more light from the 10,000K Daylight and Super Actinic combination.

    that was what i was thinking i figured the 50/50 would be a lil bit bluer maybee the prices will make up my mind lol . ill probly end up with the 2 10 k and to actinics the junk setup i have now is just 2 lowes t8 fixtures with 2 6500k bulbs and 2 actinics witch is a lighter blue but only 128 watts and is not good enough for hard corals witch i didnt want at first till i seen some killer looking corals

    440 watts will work good with the vho setup im just about done with the canopy im adding 10 moon lights also 10k and actinics will be nice in theroy just a bit bluer than what i have and alot deeper water penatration to help with the corals
