Bulb problem?

    I have a biocube 14 with compact lights. The actinic light bulb kind of flickers and has dark blue waves going through it. Is this the new bulb or something else?

    Could be your bulb is bad but sounds like your ballast is on its way out. How long have you had the bulbs in there? And how old is the cube?

    I have had the biocube for 13 months. The Bulb is brand new. I switched the placement on the 10k and the actinic. Didn't know if that would contribute.

    check to see if the wires going to the connectors are tight. if u switch the bulbs around and it doesnt do the same thing, then maybe the one ballast is going..
