I currently have a Sundail T-5 4-39 watt light fixture and want to upgrade the stock bulbs to UVls. Current bulbs are 2-10000k daytime and 2-460 actinic. My tank is a 40 gallon breeder with no corals yet. Can anyone recommend the best combinations of bulbs to use on this tank, and what kind of corals will do best.

Well, it's kind of like asking someone what the best flavor of ice cream is. Everybody has their own preference. The following combo make work well for you.

    ATI Blue Plus
    Korallen-zucht Fiji Purple
    Giesmann Midday
    UV Super Actinic

Heck a simple 1:1 ratio of ATI or Gieseman Aquablue to Blue+/Actinic plus would be a crisp blue/white maybe 12,000k or more...

Many people like overly blue in my eyes it drones out the reds and things too much, and in a tank that is predominately green or blue I want some red...
