Ok so I am hooking up my ro/di unit right now. It's a 5 stage with dual tds from bulk reef supply. I hooked up the fitting to my washers cold water. If im correct this is my water IN to the RO unit. That line then exits the RO unit and goes into the DI unit then the water coming out of the DI is my water ready to use for top off. My black line is my waste water.

I notice I have about 50psi and I have a digital meter on the TDS unit do I swith it to in or out? and what numbers am I looking for to know that it is working correct?

The TDS should read 0 on OUT.

Haven't seen this version. Does your TDS have sensors on both the input water and output? That would explain the switch. You can check the TDS on before and after the filters.

I have the same unit. My tds in from the RO feed usually reeds about 1-3. Out is always 0. Are you experiencing anything higher then this? Sometimes it's a little high until you let it run for about 3-5 minutes.

Where are the two TDS sensors placed on the unit? It should be pretty obvious where they are just follow the wires from the TDS monitor, one sensor says "IN" and one says "OUT" depending on how you have the switch set on the monitor it will tell you what the TDS is at that sensor. It's a good idea to get an idea of how the water flows through all the cartridges anyways. It should come from your cold water supply, through the sediment filter, through 2 carbon stages, then through the RO membrane, then through the DI.

If the dual TDS meter came already hooked up I'm not sure how BRS hooks them up. I personally have mine setup after the RO membrane and after the DI cartridge, that way I can tell when the RO output starts running up out of the single digits I need to replace the RO membrane and when the TDS coming out of the DI is not zero I need to replace the DI cartridge. The other filters I just change out every 6-8 months.
