bulkhead suitable size

    I plan to build 79" x 24" x 29" reef tank with two internal overflow and i want to install two Durso standpipes but I cannot decide the suitable size to the bulkhead ( drain & return) to my reef tank.

    So, what do you think the suitable size of bulkhead ( drain & return) by using two overflow.

    If It was me I would use a 1.5" bulkhead you can always make it smaller if you need but not bigger and you can push about 1500gph through 2 1.5" bulk heads that should work for almost 240 gallon system.
