Anyone use this: Dual BRS GFO and Carbon Reactor - English

Im curious how well it works in comparison to running a phosban and a seperate unit for carbon? I figured it might be worth a shot for the cost. I just dont see how well GFO is going to 'react' in what appears to be a modified two compartment RO unit.

Pretty nice set up if you need both reactors for your tank.

Well I bought one and it should be in today. I'll let you know how it works for me.

Works great. I hate those Two Little Fishes reactors.

I had one and it worked well. I actually ended up taking it apart and just running ferric oxide through one reactor. I run carbon in my overflow now.

I don't use one, the only reason being that carbon and GFO generally have different flow requirements and using a single pump to control both means you don't have optimal flow through one or the other. I've been meaning to ask them about that because on their site they specifically say in their documentation that their carbon and GFO should use different flow rates but then they don't provide that option on their nice dual reactor. Maybe they have a good reason for that, I don't know. Probably time for me to write an email instead of posting on a forum. :)

EDIT: FWIW I use their single reactor right now, it's a great reactor, very sturdy and uses high quality components, very easy to use as well.

I run 2 singles from BRS instead of the double...not sure what I was thinking at the time of the purchase...but they work very well.

Wouldn't the second chamber have reduced flow and pressure??

That's what I was going to say. By placing the carbon first, you get a higher flow rate and a slow flow for the GFO at the back end
