What does the top of the injector body look like with out the lid on?

I'm sure I can try getting a thicker o-ring. Looking at their site they sell o-rings for the injector assembly, but considering that even once it's twisted on the seal is loose, I doubt that replacing the o-ring or putting a gasket or taping it would help. Even pressing down very hard on it still allows tons of bubbles through. I'm suspecting they have a custom o-ring that's very thick, or that the bullet assembly will need replaced. When I say it's loose, you can twist it on, and with no force you can move the hose on top and it will start to turn. It's not tight at all. Their site says it's meant to be very tight. I didn't realise this until I started researching more.

Early? It's 10:30 here. lol.. you're up late!

Ya it's time. Good luck today. I don't see how there is much to go wrong with that quick-loc. I hope you can get it sealed up some how today just to get it going right.

You can always put down a bead of silicone. The flat surface where the o-ring should seal. At least it would work till you talk to PM. I have a hard time believing it isn't just a normal o-ring like you probably purchased. But who knows, maybe you need theirs.

It would give you some time and let you stop messing with it. You could also try making a gasket. A thin sheet of rubber. Cut out a gasket. Try maybe using paper or card stock to get an idea how thick you are missing.

Just a couple of ideas. You will figure it out, and Shaw will get you taken care of. Sort of a shame it was not noticed there.

I bet it is that o-ring under the cap that is leaking.

I got medieval on this thing. I went to Lowes and got one of those rubber gasket pieces where you cut your own, and I cut one to size and popped it in where the O ring was. It's pretty thick. Actually took some work to twist the piece on. The air valve works perfectly now, no bubbles when the air is off. Bubbles are very fine now - we'll see if this makes it skim properly :cheesy:

Should work great now. I would get the right one ordered from PM so u don't damage the fittings to the injector. Glad you found the problem.

    Thanks :)

I'm going to talk to them tomorrow to see about getting one shipped out. Need to work out a solution to the micro bubbles as well. They're bad, and I have no room to build a bubble trap in the sump. Now it's wait and see on the skimming - it's still bubbling in the bottom of the riser, not sure how long it will take it to start foaming properly.
