I just got a Lawnmower blenny and he took my Royal Gramma's cave. Now, the blenny found another cave, but my Royal Gramma is not going back to his old one. I think he's stressed out because it took him the whole day to hide between some rocks. They are not fighting, but everytime the blenny swim toward my RG, he flees like there no tomorrow. Will he be ok?

    Thanks!

Once they have been around each other for a while, they will get use to each other. Give them time and they will respect each other. When I introduced my flame hawkfish, my lawnmower would fight him constantly, now he completely ignores him and have seen them very close to each other on occassions without any scuffle.

Also, my Royal Gramma has proven to be a VERY timid and shy and nervous fish. He even misses out on eating because he simply will NOT go to the top of the tank to get some grub. The other 2 fish don't go after him when he tries, but he always chickens out. I have to push some food down so it will float down to him and he finally gets some. He will be fine, like rickzter said, after they get used to each other. ;D

That is the main thing to watch out for. Royal Grammas are very nervous and shy individuals. I've had acouple of them and they eventually died a short time later due to other reef inhabitants bullying them.. Beautiful fish though! So what I did to get some of the purple color in my tank was add a Purple Pseudochromis. They are more aggressive than a Royal Gramma, but I don't have to worry about my other fish spooking it-it can take care of itself!
