My clownfish has bumps on the top of his head that resemble an allergic reaction on a human (i.e.poison ivy). Any ideas?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Need an image.

    Could be anything.

Any other symptoms, is the fish still eating?

I tried to get one, but it just won't come out clearly. No, neither has eaten the last 2 days or so. My overflow bulkhead screw cracked so I was filter less for a few days. The water became cloudy (bacteria bloom imo). I chalked that up to a lack of appetite but the water is crystal clear today and still hasn't eaten. Today was also when I first noticed the bumps.

Maybe a bacterial infection from the water?

If you have a bacterial bloom you need to increase oxygenation, stop feedings and test ammonia. Run fresh charcoal and stop dosing any carbon.

It's gone now. It happened when my sump was shut down. I had the air stone running during the bloom, however. Haven't dosed Carbon in weeks. I have charcoal running in the reactor.

Kevin, not sure if you are still having the issue with the clown. I am currently dealing with "bumps" on one of my clowns, that came after a death of a coral beauty followed by injuries, parasites and death of a damsel. My clown had bumps on the head as well as torn fins and tail. I ended up moving the remaining fish to the QT and treating them with Seachem ParaGuard. Today is the first day my clowny looks better and eating.
