OK the other day someone said that there neighbor sprayed pesticide outside there home and it killed everything in his tank. Well the with knows no spraying anything in same room with tank but what about candles burning in another room, any problems with that. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't burn anything containing citronella or other pesticides. However, I burn scented candles all the time and my tanks don't react.

Agree - I burn candles all the time in the same room as the tanks. No issues.

I think a lot of the problem is vapor liquid (is that what it's called?!) that can fall into the tank (like with cleaning sprays, etc.). Candles don't emit that.

I agree with above. My x gf actually put a candle on top of my canopy one day and lit it. I had a good talk with her that night about that one. Nothing happened to the tank tho.

I always have a candle burning when I'm home because I'm a freak like that. The scent wont hurt because its not a liquid that can travel in the air. Anything that is a mist can be bad as it travels the air column and can deposit in places other than wanted especially a tank that has no lid.

I burn candles all the time as well, just avoid any pesticide like thing.

I also have a pest control guy who only sprays pet safe pesticide and have never had an issue, I have a stupid dog who will drink it but he does spray the same room as the tank or out the window bby where the tank is and I have never had any issue
