    LOL---
shipment update... it's in Fort Worth, TX... destination my tank in t-minus 24 hours and counting...
Super weird... it's the third time the shipment date has changed... can't wait to get it up... I will post pics.
I also just dropped about 250 at vividaquariums for a bunch of amazing zoo's, LPS's and others...

Well, I tested out the unit over the weekend and result is... it's going back.
Not because of any other reason than simply the fans are too loud. The noise causes vibrations to the exhaust area in the middle of the unit... and in our room .. it's just too overbearing. Now, I'm sure any unit with 2x150 mh would make noise.. but not to the point of annoying. The t5's ran quiet... led's looked great... and the mh themselves looked spectacular... in fact... my tank never looked so cool! But the noise trumped... and now I've written an email to the ebay seller to get my money back under his satisfaction guarantee. I'll let you know if he keeps his word. Meanwhile, does anyone have any suggestions for a good unit for my tank 48" by 12" by 18" I do not want to use any retro ... I'm looking for a solid unit that produces like the metal halides... I've tried in the past the sundial by 216 watt with 4 t5 ho just wasn't enough.

    Thanks!
