button polyps wont open!!!

    ok my tanks been up for about 3 months now.everything was going good and i noticed on one of my rocks i had about 7 of them growing. they started getting big and even noticed a 1/2 piece of coral growing in between them. so about a week ago they all closed up and havent opened sence?????i checked water everything was great salinity was high idk y but over 2 days i got it right and there still not opening. i did move around some rock i dont remember if i did it befor or after. but iv tryed everything i moved it closer to the light aways from the light in more flow out of flow. iv tryed everything i dont know whats wrong please help????:-[

    whats your po4 levels. and what did you all test for. how long have you had them? what other coral do you have?

    what po4 and i tested ammonia nitrate nitrit ph every thing was good my salinity was really high tho

    they just poped up id say about a month ago
    same with the coral idk what kind it is i wouldnt have even noticed it if it wasnt for the night time leds making it glow

    phosphate. why did you move them if they were happy where they were? what is high?

    my reef never was the way i wanted it so i added more base rock and built it up so it would cover the whole back i tryed to put them in the same spot there were in and there were open when i moved them and put them back.

    the salinity was high like 1.031 high

    I can't tell you why your buttons won't open, but what I can tell is don't try to bring that salinity down too fast. Do it little by little of the next several days.

    yeah i got it dont in about 2 days its still a lil high im get it all the way down over the weekend

    i finaly got my rock straight and i was gunna add a bubbel tip this weekend but now im scared to cuz the buttons wolnt open. ima take my water to the LFS and get them to test everything cuz im out of opptions i guess.

    Can you post pics of buttons? I had a colony of button polyps that didn't like the water chemistry for a while and they just looked like lumps on LR. I've got water under control and they open beautifully. My params in 75g are phos. 0, ammo. 0, nitrates 10ppm, nitrites 0, pH 8.3, SG 1.024, temp. 78, calc. 450, 9dkh, Sunpod light kit 2 150w 14k MH bulbs, buttons are 3/4 way down in tank, lower flow down there. Hope this helps a bit!!

    il try and get a pic when i get home. i wanna find out what kinda coral i got growing to. i got some feather dusters beside it so i could see how the water was flowing and it seems to be ok were they are at. there about 3/4 down to.
