A lengthy internet search session has found very few options for purchasing a ready to go refugium. Does anyone have any suggestions? I realize there will always be a bit of custamization involved, but i don't have the tools or the desire to build my own. So far the best option i've found is the ADHI 30. Any guidance will be much appreciated.

Just look for any cheap hang on the back power filter. All you're really looking for is a) something that is self contained (powerfilters work well for this) b) something you can place macro algae in c) The ability to place a light in/over/on top of (so the macro algae can grow). Thats really about it. I'm sure more scientific types can give you better details :)

Most fuges are in are built into/part of the sump so you may search for sumps and get more results. Here are just a few.
Catalina Aquarium SUMP/REFUGIUM FOR 70 GAL TANK
    Platinum Series Refugium 75
Octopus Sumps and Refugiums Bulk Reef Supply - Bulk Reef Supply
    - Reef Specialty
This is just a few of many.

It is really alot cheaper to build you own with a tank to put up under your stand.Get a tank that fits under your stand and install baffles then all you have to do is add your pump/equipment and sand or mud(overflow also unless your tank is drilled). Some of the links I posted are hob fuges, I think, if you want to go that route. It just hangs on the back of your dt.
Here is a good place for sump/fuge plans and info.

Thanks for the suggestions. Looks like the best option is to just build one.

I am getting ready to do just that. Converting a 30 gallon into a refugium.....much more cost effective for what they actually are.

    GOOD LUCK!

It really is and it's not as hard as it may sound. All you need is a measuring tape and a tube of silicon. Measure the sump tank for the sizes of glass you will need and simply head over to Home Depot or Lowe's. All they need is sizes and they will cut it for you. Then simply run a bead of silicon on both sides of the baffles and let it cure for as long as the tube says.

You want to use the type that is pure silicon. It says on the tube.

100% silicone non-toxic. I was able to find a tube of aquarium silicone at my LFS but I'm sure lowes has something.
