I couldn't blame you for breaking up the rock if you want a little more design to your aquascape. I like the way this little tank looks! Hopefully it performs well in the long run and I'm along for the ride to see how this goes :) I thought about something like this and if it would be possible to do a seahorse or two and a few corals. I always thought that would be awesome but that's just me.

What a cool little tank. You instincts sound good to me. I love the space for it with the inset wall. I'd splurge on an electrician make a recessed outlet behind it to hide the cords. :) That would be dramatic and totally worth it. Your wife would agree. :)

Soo its been almost 2 weeks.. Tanks looking good.. No algae blooms yet. I broke up the rock and aquascaped it a little better. Still cloudy though.

Added a korallia nano for better flow.

I was at Petco the other day and was looking at their disgusting livestock tanks and decided to rescue a half dead candy cane coral frag for 12.00. Its improved a lot being in my tank. Looks a little shriveled in the photo since I moved it after I re-scaped.

    Thanks for reading.

Going to start up a coral frag tank in the near future!!!! Very exited...

    Thanks!

I'm not too sure where I stand with the frag tank with her. Its day by day. I have to work OT to save up the cash. As soon as I mentioned an ro/di station she got mad. So, who knows. I have to tread lightly. I think I've convinced I MIGHT be able to sell the frags to make money.. HA.. But we all know it wont make money maybe just off set or come close to cover running costs. Were talking a small 48x18x10 set up around 40 gallons. I might build the tank my self if I can find cheap acrylic or do a flood table.

I live in the high desert and there isn't much competition. There is one store in the valley that has a tiny selection of over priced corals. No one seems to have ads on craigslist for frags. The closest store with decent coral is 35 miles away. Local reef club is about 45 miles plus other garage fraggers. It might do well.

I just ordered this tank off cadlights website for 90$ and was wondering what are the dimensions of the filter chambers? Also do you happen to know the dimensions for the stock pump (or largest pump I can put in there).
