Calcium at 540 is this safe?

    I have seachem reef complete witch raises calcium maintains mag and strontium but don't want to use it as i don't need to raise cal. I also have reef builder for the alk. should I just get a mag supplement by seachem as I like them as well

    I just ordered a Mag supplement from DFS for about $8. It is yet to come. Good thing to have around. Yeah, I am not a big fan of combination products.

    I will just have to pick some up tomorrow at the LFS. I was reading some post with people using Epsom salt but just not to sure about it. I saw that tangster uses it so it can't be bad.

    I'm guilty of using epsom salt too.
    No point in paying an extra 1000% for a name brand label magnesium additive.

    RG, if he bumps up his Mg with his Ca being that high, couldn't that potentially cause a Ca fallout(precip?)?


    I think the Ca that high is ok as long as everything else is inline too, which it seems to be:)

    nope, the Ca isnt really that high in comparison to the other elements. if there was more of a gap between them, then maybe yes depending on how much is added at one time. remember: patience, small dose, test.
