Ok so yesterday I noticed that the tank was a hazy kinda white looking water. So of course Looked for any dead fish ect. And found nothing so figured id check the water

    Calcium 475
    Mag 1350
    PH 8.2
    Alk 9dkh
    Phos 0
    Nitrite 0
    Nitrate 0
    Ammonia 0

So figured maybe id change out my carbon/gfo to be safe so I did that yesterday. And today still the same. Seems like there is a white haze on the glass and it took me some time with the mag-float to get it off. Currently im dosing Kalk+2 from brightwell is it possable that it did not mix well with the RO/DI? Just wondering what I need to check now. Or how I can fix this uglyness :)

Do a water change..25% to start.

And your calcium is a lil high ;)...Needs to be around 420 for the best.

If it's on the glass, sounds like it could be the start of Coralline algae. Not a bad thing.

If it's in the water, could be a bacterial bloom. Did you disturb the rocks or sand? I had slightly cloudy water the last time I disturbed the sand, and it went away in a few days. Might have just been the sand (very, very tiny grains floating around the tank) and not bacteria, but either way it wasn't a problem.

I am far from an expert on this but, the way I under stand it you have to keep magnesium at 3 times the amount of calcium. So at 475 ppm calcium you would need magnesium to be at least 1425 ppm.

When you mix your drip, do you let is settle before beginning the drip or do you set it up right away?

    I let it settle

Also noticed one of my sps corals is bleached could this have something to do with that. Only have 3 other 2 are fine just noticed this about 5 minutes ago. There new frags got them about a week ago. Its pure white like snow. Was fine yesterday.

The bleaching could be related, but not necessarily. There are a lot of factors that can lead to sps bleaching.

On the mix, whats the ration that you are using? and are you letting it sit for a couple hours or overnight? If its a couple hrs it could just be unsettled, and what you begin dosing, you're getting an overdose from the drip. If you're letting it sit overnight, you could be mixing to much. Have you tried slowing down the drip and whats the current drip rate you have set?

A couple hours yes overnite no. And im not using but a 1/8 of what the instructions call for. When i did it shot everything up too high so I get perfect levels from 1/8 Tbsp so thats what I use im starting to think maybe I bumped the jug and it stired it up and then later when it went in it got some stired up liquid. Im gonna get a couple more containers and make up a few gallon containers of it so it sits for awhile

As for drip right now its in my ATO so trying to set the level of kalk to match the tank needs with the ato. Gonna get a dosing pump later and switch it just incase the ato takes a dump

But all in all I think I just did not let it sit long enough. Gonna fix that with making a few gallon containers at a time and letting them sit

well did a 30G water change the water seems to be clear now. But changed my filter sock out yesterday and it had some golden gel stuff in it. Also my skimmer seems to be going nuts. Wonder what could have gotten in there. Does not make much sense what it could be.

Sounds like its just not settling, and because you are using your top off water as your dosing water, it may simply be injecting too fast into the system. Would probably get a small zoo med dripper and use that as your kalk dosing, set it to something like one drop every 5-7 sec. Also letting the mix stand overnight will help out as well.

For the skimming, say if you've been dosing heavily on the calcium, some of your corals may have release mucus into the aquarium, especially if you have any brains and anemones. That may be the cause of both the slime and the skimmer going bonkers
