For some reason my calcium level is now 520. It did not do this until I done a water change. Is it a bad bach of salt maybe?
    Everthing else is fine.
    ALK11.5 dkh
    Salinety 1.024
    Nitrate 0ppm
    Ammonia 0ppm
    Ph 8.0
    Thanks

If you do your water changes too often it can build up. The salt you use will put a certain amount in and if its not depleted by the time you do another water change it will just add up. Mix a small batch of water and test the calcium on that to see if the salt mix is putting the proper amount in.

Do you top off your water with salted or fresh? What do you normally keep your salinity at? Just wondering...

Might be worth doublechecking the test and maybe even against another test kit all together although I don't think a calcium level of 520 is all that dangerous if it goes a lot higher it could get risky of snowing I believe.

As long as you are able to keep your dkh that high I would not worry at all about cal-520
