I have a JBJ regulator on my 1502, not the best but it has been working well so far.

I have a GEO on my 200g. When you get enough SPS and clams, there is almost no way to keep up with dosing.

I have to say the geo Ca RX is the best thing I have bought for my tank. It keeps the parameters where I want them to be, no matter how big the corals get.

For equipment, GEO's are the best. They really do use the least amount of C02 compared to other brands, and by not wasting C02, they don't need a second chamber or lower the ph of the effluent much at all.

I would get either an aquarium plants regulator, or a reef fanatic regulator (I have the RF). Also, I would not run a reactor without ph controller.

I use a KNOP C reactor that was recommended to me by Tangster. It does really well and uses very little CO2. You don't want to get a huge one because when the media runs out they do need to be cleaned to keep valves from clogging up on the effluent side. I would get some way of controlling pH so that you can keep the reactor at around 6.7 or so without guessing.

Thanks everyone for the great info. So heres another question. Many of you stated that a pH controller was needed, is this a seperate controller to monitor pH in the reactor or could I purchase a RKL to work for this?

I am pretty sure the RKL will take care of the PH controller issue. It would be better to monitor the reactors ph than the tank's ph IMHO.

I have an old AquaControllerII that I use on my Korallin 1502 to monitor the pH (I don't monitor the pH in my tank itself, just the effeluent out of the reactor). Initially I was going to get the optional reactor cover with the pH probe port so I can monitor the pH in the reactor, but I set it up monitoring the effulient after it leave the reactor, it's been doing the job so I decided not the spend the extra $50 to get the pH probe holder adapter.....but I think it's a good thing to have.
