This is what I get for fixing things. I got my RO/DI thing worked out and now everything is growing again. I drip kalk/vinegar 24/7 and still dose B-ionic once or twice a day. My coraline algae fired up again and I can barely keep my Cal above 380ppm and my KH above 7. So It sounds like I need to get a Calcium reactor. It is a big investment and I my wanted to here your thoughts on brand and size of the equipment. Also on all the need media and CO2 equipment as well. What would you have done differently?

Is all of your make up water kalkwasser? Or do you drip that and add freshwater top off? I push all my topoff through a kalk reactor...if that helps. I don't know much about the CA reactors other than they are too complex for me! ::) :p

I am heading towards the wall to wall SPS tank so it is inevitable. My Kalk is all of my top off. I upped the vinegar in the kalk that seem to be helping. I seem to have a understanding of the working. I am looking for everyones two cent on the equipment. Pinpoint or Milwaukee. What regulator to buy or avoid. That kinda thing.

From what I have read you definitely want a dual chamber because it utilizes the CO2 that is not used in the first chamber. Less chance of lowering pH and more CA for the buck.

Schuran makes a heck of a reactor, the Jetstream Pico and the Jetstream1. They are pricey but worth every penny from what i have read many a time.

Victor makes the best gauges for welding equipment and last time I checked a TIG torch needed more precision than a CA reactor. ;D
