    Well James I finally got a chance to calibrate the probes and you were right, I got better readings from 4.0 and 10.0 then 7.0 and 10.0.

    They were as follows. 7.0 & 10.0 solution calibration:
    4.0 = 3.76 / 7.0 = 6.98 / 10.0 = 10.0

    Then the 4.0 & 10.0 solution calibration:
    4.0 = 3.97 / 7.0 = 7.04 / 10.0 = 9.99

    I would have to say the 4.0 & 10.0 done better but Curt from Neptune told me I should use closer to the range I wanted. I will keep it like this and see what it does in a month.

    Great Thread. Where do you get these solutions from? I have an ACIII but have not calibrated yet.

    Neptune: Premium Aquatics

    About half way down the page you will see the different type of solution.

    Good to hear someone is getting similar results. What brand and grade probe are you using? I have been using American Marine Pinpoint, I had to send two back because of "damage in shipping" before I got one that worked. I am not sure how these get damaged in shipping when they are in a very well padded box. When I replace (probably not for another year) I am thinking going with something else, but seems like everyone uses the pinpoints.

    I use lab grade Pinpoint and Neptune pH and ORP probes.
