    Good morning everyone,

I was cleaning my tank yesterday and I noticed my macro algae flourishing in my overflow. Literally when I stuck my hand in there their was a ton of it. The only bad side to it growing in their was it was clogging my overflow intake to the fuge. Is it a problem ho have it growing in here?

    Thanks pjracer

well aside from the potential overflow issues , if you go on holiday etc and you get a growth spurt

what type of macro is it pjracer - some species are very rapid growing and if they go sexual and break down then they could cause blockages where its harder to remove them

Calerpa is one of the macro algaes that can and do go sexual
if its starts decomposing you might find yourself with an overflowing tank situation
