Freshwater dips range from 3-15 minutes. If they instantly fall to their side and don't recover quickly, give them a tap with your hand. If they don't recover or recover for only a moment, remove them. If they get hyper irritable or fall to the bottom during treatment, remove them.

One time I forgot a feeder damsel in a freshwater dip for 45 minutes. When I remembered him, I couldn't believe he was still alive. He probably wouldn't have lived for long, however, but he had duties to perform.

He eats more seaweed than anything, so great! He won't take any dry foods.

I feed aqua treasures mysis (same as PE mysis pretty much), Hikiri mysis, rods food (no one likes it very much), emerald entree, marine cuisine, and chunks of defrosted mussel meat

    WOW!! Those guys are tough!!

I will try to attempt (that's redundant isn't it?) a freswhwater dip tomorrow. Along with soaking the seaweed/frozen food in medication because it can't hurt to start with that

Y'all need to switch to Lionfish as they are so much easier to deworm. You can dry out the Mysis and then soak it in meds followed by some paper towel time. You don't want this stuff washing off in your tank. Will it eat and do you have access to live brine?

    Haha!

I don't have any live brine, and can't think of a place that sells it around here. But I will try to soak the food in some meds today

Since I saw the worms on his butt while I was treating with prazipro (because I suspected the flukes were back), it could have been the prazi doing its job and deworming the fish. I didn't think of that option.

Well, no one ate the food soaked in metro, "whoo"! It wa sstrange. The food went in, and all the fish seemed startled. Like they were scared. It wasn't until it sank mostly to the bottom when they started picking.

At this point, I think I'll just finish up the prazipro treatment in case it was flukes, it might even help if he does have an internal bug. I saw something hanging out today, it was super tiny, and could have been the beginning of a turd. I'm gonna keep an eye on them and see what happens after the next round of prazi.

At least I have the levamisole on hand now, if it ever comes to it.

I also noticed my flame angel has developed mild HLLE, possibly from the meds I've been doing. Ugh, I'm such a noob to saltwater and I've already had saltwater tanks for a year now

Just finished another prazipro treatment, the fish still twitches. Im gonna do another in a few days after a water change, but is it normal for the fish still to show signs of flukes after a treatment?

    Ich could be your problem.

When did you test for ammonia last? What test kit are you using? Ammonia causes twitching as well.

I don't see any spots, and haven't seen any ever. They've been in the tank for a month or so now.

I haven't tested for ammonia recently, and I should. I use the API master test kit. Ill test it and get back to you

    Edit- ammo reads 0
