came home to cloudy water...

    There are a CRAP LOAD of pods on all the glass.. Not just a small bundle, I mean hundreds and hundreds about every inch or so...

    any clue what's up with the cloudy water?

    Last 5g water change was 9 days ago. I do 5g every 14 days.

    maybe the water looks cloudy because of the pod? I'm not sure, i know i would get really scared if i came home to a cloudy tank...

    Did you find out what the pods are yet..??
    I may be way off track, but have read where something spawning, etc. Will cloud your tank.. ??
    Did your filters, clear your tank back up.. ??

    Sorry bud, I was in a major hurry - but I figured I covered the basics.

    Come to find out, it was the pods. A LOT of them. Not just a few, I mean millions and millions. I added some mesh to my filter intake and the intake for my skimmer. About 4 hours later, I removed the mesh to clean it off and there were so many that it almost looked like a bunch of mini-sized maggots .. I have done this 5 times now and there are so many it's not funny.

    The tank is clearing up rather nicely too...

    Now to find out what caused the outbreak/spawn of these lil suckers. I'm totally cool with them, but not so many of them that they take over my tank!!

    Glad you figured it out, Man one of my tanks could use some of those pods, wish you could bottle them and ship them out. Never heard of pods clouding up the water though unless they are just that thick.

    Go to your lfs and "foster" a mandarin so it doesnt starve to death.
