Camel Shrimp Question...

Alrighty so i was observing my tank last night and saw something unsettling. I have heard that Camel Shrimp will nip at corals however I have a FOWLR set up for now (switching someday when I can afford proper lighting) so that doesn't worry me. But here is what I saw...my camel shrimp was on top of a Nassarius Snail and seemed to be harrassing the snail possibly even trying to eat it. I turned the lights on the tank and it distracted the shrimp enough that the Nassarius was able to haul A** out of there. I have seen him doing it one other time. Never seen him near one of the Astrea/turbo snails....only my Nassarius snails.

So my question is: Do Camel shrimp attack snails or was he maybe just picking uneaten food off of the snail? Thanks,

 

He is probably just attracted to the smell of detritus.

 

I thought escargot was off the menu tonight ?
