Thanks! I have a ton of filter floss from one of my other builds, so I'll try that :)

Okay so the filter floss along with Alex's suggestion of turning the flow down have both completely rid the tank of microbubbles :D Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!

So it's been a little over a week since I started the cycle. I've been adding a pinch of flake food and 2 capfuls of Microbacter7 every day. I stopped by World Wide Corals today and had them test my water. To my surprise, they said that there were no signs of ammonia or nitrites, only nitrates, and they also said to add a hardy coral and a few snails. I'm hesitant to do this, however, as I know that most cycles take well over a month, and that I've seen no sign of a diatom bloom whatsoever. What do you all think I should do? Continue adding Microbacter7 and flake food, or adding snails and a hardy coral? I'm leaning towards the first option.

I wouldn't add a coral yet IMO I'd throw a clown in see what happens

The problem is I don't want to risk any lives in the process :-/

Yeah that's what I'll do. Thanks. Microbacter7 is a bottle of bacteria that aids in the cycle. I used it on another tank and it took about a month to cycle. That's why I was so confused with this tank haha

I would listen to the tests. I had a tank take a week to cycle with LR i got shipped to me from Fiji, then I had a tank with bacteria added that took 5 months to cycle. It takes as long as it takes.
